Career history:

Anna Bartczak is a graduate from the Faculty of Economic Sciences (WNE) at the University of Warsaw. In 2000 she finished a postgraduate program in Latin America Studies at the University of Warsaw. In 2002 she received a PhD degree in economic sciences for a PhD thesis entitled “Koszty zewnętrzne transportu drogowego. Problem optymalnych stawek opłat za korzystanie z autostrad w Polsce” [External costs of road transport. The problem of optimum rates of motorway charges in Poland]. Since 2002 she has worked in the position of an assistant professor in the Department of Economic Sciences (WNE) at the University of Warsaw. In 2008 she became the head of WOEE, where she conducts research. She has received scholarships from the Dekaban-Liddle Foundation, the British Academy of Science, the Catholic University of Leuven, the French Ministry of Environment, COST E45 European Forest Externalities and EUROFOREX. She is a member of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE). Her scientific interests include: environmental economics, health economics and non-market goods valuation.
